Abstract

The digital divide remains a significant barrier to educational equity in Nigeria, hindering the potential for technology-driven learning and socio-economic advancement. This paper explores technology can be adopted in Nigerian education system. The pandemic accelerated the need to inculcate digital teaching and learning in the system. To address these issues Nigerian government should invest in technological infrastructure, digital, promote public-private partnership, increase access to technology, create customized learning environment especially in Universities also prioritize professional development for educators. the paper advocates for the inclusion of digital literacy in the national curriculum, ensuring that students are not only consumers of technology but become proficient users who can navigate the increasingly digital landscape. The role of community engagement is also underscored, as local involvement can enhance acceptance and support for technological initiatives. Government action is crucial to create an inclusive educational landscape where technology serves as a bridge also, create an inclusive educational landscape where technology serves as a bridge, enabling equitable access to quality education for all Nigerian students, regardless of their geographical or socio-economic status.
