Abstract
This study explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in project management by considering the relationship and impact on resource allocation, decision-making, and risk assessment. The research identifies machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) as two commonly used AI tools that can help streamline project processes for improved decision- making. With an emphasis on the role of AI in project management beyond automation, which extends to decision support systems for data-driven insights, the findings suggest that project managers can effectively deploy AI to analyze historical project data to identify trends and patterns for informed choices, enhanced resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
